DONATE LIFE CONVEYED THE MESSAGE OF ORGAN DONATION THROUGH KITE FESTIVAL 2018
Surat-Donate Life Trust has organized a Kite Festival 2018 at Sir K. P. Commerce College ground to bring the Organ Donation awareness among citizens and appeal them to come
forward for Organ Donation.
Donate Life President Mr. Nilesh Mandlewala said that According to an estimate, more than 5 lakh people die every year in the country due to the non-availability of Organs. Through
this Kite festival, we want to convey the message to the citizens and community that whenever a family member gets brain dead, at that time come forward to donate their organs to
the kidney, liver and heart failure patients and save their lives. Messages on Organ Donation were written on kites and were distributed to the citizens. A message of Organs Donation
were also sent by different posters as well.
The Cadaver Organ Donor and the family members of the organ recipient were also present in Kite festival. Various legislatures of Surat city, Shri Purnesh Modi, Shri Mukesh Patel,
Smt. Zankhana Patel, Shri Vivek Patel, Shri VD Jhalawadiya, Shri Praveen Ghoghari, Shri Arvind Rana, Mayor Shrimati Asmitaben Shiroya, and members of the organizers who have the
organized the Kite Festival. Shri M. Thanannasan, Commissioner, Surat Municipal Corporation, Mr. Rajesh Desai, Chairman, Standing Committee of Surat Municipal Corporation
