He was president of Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and industry (SGCCI) in the year 2009-10. During his tenure as president, SGCCI became the first chamber in the country to established a Trade and Convention center of its own which was inaugurated by the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi on 12th March 2010. His aims in the life are to set up a kidney transplant hospital of international standards at Surat, to promote the awareness of cadaver organ donations, to work for finding solutions for increasing traffic problems and also to work for expeditious justice at minimum cost to the poor and needy people of society.

He is an avid reader and has an excellent knowledge of Indian history and culture. During his free time, loves capturing different moods of life through passion for photography, and plays sports like table-tennis, badminton and cricket. Despite of having his kidney transplanted one and half years back, he has taken the keen interest in the activity of organ donation with Shri Nilesh Mandlewala and has been the motivator for formation of Donate Life. He has also been involved in many social activities and upliftment of poor and downtrodden. His motto of life is as said by Mahatma Gandhi: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
